Borderline Personality Disorder In Older People

I am going to be 33 in a couple of months and don't feel that could be possible! Anyways, I relate to those whom isolate themselves from others in order to escape the craziness of having relationships. I used to be the center of social events, but now I am totally opposite. I rather avoid getting too personal with people. I guess from having the experience of so many friendships turn bad, now I just can't stand going through all that anymore. I am an older bpd who was just recently diagnosed. I don't know if that would make any difference?
