The best recovery I have experienced is related to a very gradual realization and albeit primitive ability to link up past events and outcomes to present situations. Most of the time I still block events where I may have smashed expensive property up or caused other damage physically or mentally, but I have developed a 'feelings/awareness' of consequences which prevents me acting out as dramatically in the present.

The SET principles didn't work for me - 'I HATE YOU DON'T LEAVE ME' - as I knew when my partner was implementing them and I felt like I was being patronized.

I got sciatica which believe it or not made bulimia (pukeing up) too painful, so that's aided recovery from that (temporarily anyway).

Also in terms of primary relationship, it's again a gradual process of coming to terms with the fact that the relationship is dead - it's a shame that it took 6 years of amazing drama, but borderlines do give up trying desperately to keep relationships once they've got used to the realization that the relationship is unsaveable and spoilt forever - absolutely beyond repair.

Due to refractory depression and apparently my personality, not one single medication trial has worked for me for more than two months. I've had every medication prescribed including tegretol - even become resistant to the positive effects of illegal drugs such as ecstasy.
